Audio fleet control
Every room’s audio. One screen.
When a show has twelve small rooms with twelve small mixers, one operator ends up running hallway laps. Blackbird Mixer puts the whole fleet on a single touch surface — an iPad works — so one person can see, adjust, and mute every room from wherever they’re standing.

How it works
One surface, twelve rooms
Pick a room, mix it
Tap any room and its faders fill the screen — mics, laptop sound, whatever that room carries. Touch, drag, nudge in fine steps, or snap back to the safe middle setting with one tap.
See the whole fleet at once
A mute overview lays out every room in columns — every input in every room is a one-tap mute button, even for rooms you’re not currently mixing. Kill a hot mic three rooms away in a second.
Master mute that remembers
Muting a whole room doesn’t erase your per-mic choices. Un-mute the room and the exact pattern you had — this mic on, that one off — comes right back.
Health at a glance
Each room shows its state in color: rehearsal mode, connecting, live, or offline. A big warning appears if a room’s master is muted — the mistake that otherwise eats ten minutes of a session.
Rehearse before the gear arrives
The full surface runs in rehearsal mode with no mixers attached. Train the crew, set names and levels, and walk the show before load-in day — then bring the same settings to the real fleet.
Named and color-coded
Every room and every input can be renamed and color-tagged to match your show — “Lab 3”, “Podium mic”, “Playback” — so nobody mixes the wrong room.
Who it's for
Built around the QSC TouchMix-8 workflow
Blackbird Mixer was built for shows that run fleets of QSC TouchMix-8 mixers — training labs, certification rooms, breakout stations — where each room is simple but there are a lot of them. The deeper controls are all there when you need them: per-input trim, mic/line switching, phantom power, tone shaping, and an output limiter, each a tap away and out of sight when you don’t.
It’s in early access: the rehearsal surface is complete and in use today, and the live link to physical mixers is in development. If you run this kind of fleet, we’d like to build it against your show.
